Photo Shoot for Tilda’s Kimonos (Behind the Scene...

I was feeling sort of nostalgic for the sun, the beach, and good company, when I realized I had a whole collection of photos from the famed TildaKimono Bikini photoshoot that the world hadn’t seen yet.

So first, let me give you a bit of back story. Many months ago, Tilda asked if I could model some of her Kimonos. First of all, I was extremely excited (and honoured) to be asked, and second, it would give me the opportunity to go to the beach, and rock a bikini. (In case you weren’t aware, I have a mild Bikini buying problem, but that’s another story for another day…)

Through another talented friend of ours, Xandria (who you can read about HERE and HERE), we met Daniela, who is an absolutely amazing photographer who would be taking the fashion shots for Tilda.  (You can check out her work at danielaarbajephotos.com.)

In short, everything came together beautifully; the weather, our schedules, the people that got to be involved! And it all worked out to create some pretty rad pictures. While Daniela worked her magic, Xandria had my camera in hand, and took some bomb behind the scenes shots!

Urban Decay Afterdark Eyeshadow Palette

I went into Sephora looking to replenish my lipstick collection, but instead, I came out with the new Urban Decay Afterdark Eyeshadow Palette, (and a new lipstick and lipliner, but that is besides the point). This new palette is jewel-toned and sparkly, and honestly the last thing I thought I would have  purchased for myself. I am usually drawn to warmer, natural colours, and don’t usually get too flashy on my eyes.

But this time around, I was drawn to the sparkle.

What Products are in Your Makeup Bag? (Because I Lost M...

What is in your Makeup Bag? I’ve kept it to myself because I think I was still holding out hope, but I have now reached the stage of acceptance:

I have lost my makeup bag.

It happened while I was in London. Silly me thought it would be a brilliant idea to  bring my whole makeup bag with me to my cousins wedding. I don’t want to go into detail, because it’s still too painful, but long story short, I have lost my makeup bag full of nearly all my favourite lipsticks, lipliners, eyeliners, mascaras, brushes, you name it.

At first, I made a VERY low-ball estimate of $300 worth of lost product. Now, as I have been looking into replacing it all, I realize an accurate, yet still low number would be closer to $500 of lost makeup… Somebody out there hit the jackpot, that’s for sure.

So now that I have accepted my loss, my only option is to move on. Slowly but surely, I will be rebuilding, and I am looking to hear your recommendations! What beauty products do you have stashed away in your makeup bag? What are your favourite brushes?

You have no idea how excited I was to come home the other day and find something bulky shoved in my mailbox! I knew immediately that it was my order from Anna S. Lipsticks, and I didn’t care that it was 1am my time, I had to open up my package and play with them.

I had the greatest of pleasures meeting and interviewing Anna Sylla while on my vacation in London, and I strongly suggest you check her out on Instagram and order yourself some of her lipsticks! I have a soft heart for anyone out there doing what they love, and this girl is one of them!

Her lipsticks have the luxury of feeling soft on your lips, and keeping them well moisturized. The pigments are great, and the next day, when I wore Flirty Pink out of the house, I got a ton of compliments on the colour!

Anastasia Beverly Hills Master Palette by Mario –...

I got my hands on a Anastasia Beverly Hills Master Palette by Mario at my local Sephora, and as a result, I am in love.

So, I am going to be honest. I had no idea that this palette existed before walking into Sephora the other day. (Yes, I know I’ve been living under a rock).  I have a few cosmetic companies I am obsessed with, and I don’t often stray away from them.

So for those living under a rock with me, here’s the hype about the latest Anastasia Beverly Hills palette.

Superstar makeup artist Mario Dedivanovic has had a hand in most of 2016’s major makeup trends, from contouring, baking, and strobing the Kardashians’ faces to the Instagram makeup . So people understandably freaked when the Master Palette by Mario dropped — his collaboration with Anastasia Beverly Hills on the set of twelve gold, copper and jewel tones is currently sold out on the ABH website, all of one day later.  Bustle.com

The Master Palette by Mario has been a highly sought after eyeshadow palette, and has sold out pretty much everywhere. Therefore, I’ve been told to count myself extremely lucky for being able to snag one of them.

But really, I’m not in it for the hype. Just look at these colours. While in Sephora, a friend of mine said it best: These colours look like they were made for black girls. I’m obsessed with rosey, golden, autumn colours, because I feel like they look AMAZING on all ranges of dark skin. So, naturally I needed this palette in my collection.
